Redesigning Goodreads
Revamped Goodreads' UI for clearer discovery, calmer reading flows, and a stronger sense of community.
Why this project
Goodreads is rich with activity, but the experience often feels denser than it needs to. I used this project to explore how the platform cdould feel more focused, more welcoming, and easier to navigate without losing its social depth.

What I changed
- simplified the browsing hierarchy so discovery felt less noisy. Can hold the framing context for the case study: what the product does, where it was falling short, and what made the redesign worth pursuing in the first place.
- reorganized collection views around the actions readers perform most often
- tightened typography, spacing, and contrast to make the product feel more modern
Focus areas
Context Setting
This section can hold the framing context for the case study: what the product does, where it was falling short, and what made the redesign worth pursuing in the first place.
UX & UI Audit
Use this for the sharp observations. What felt noisy? What looked inconsistent? Where did people hesitate? You can drop screenshots, images, or short lists inside each accordion body.
Defining Objectives
This is a good place for a small set of clear goals, constraints, or design principles that guided the project.
Outcome
This case study is currently placeholder content, but the structure is here for the full breakdown: context, process, screens, and reflections. Later, this page can expand with annotated images, prototypes, and accordion sections.
